Housing Case Manager Jobs

Provide comprehensive, time-limited, home and community-based case management services.

High level of organizational skills to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

BA/BS in Human Services or related field, OR Associates Degree and 2 years of human services experience required.

Highly motivated, with excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.

Ability to provide intensive and comprehensive services to households experiencing homelessness, including advocacy and mediation skills.

Experience with housing, housing law, and provision of services to the identified population preferred.

Participate in in-service trainings and workshops to enhance professional skills.

Enforcement of house rules and overall security of the center. Ensure all times are adequately covered.

Safeguard and ensure consistent adherence to all ARC house rules and policies.

Conduct residence and program orientation for new beneficiaries that includes a facility tour

Supervise the medication call. Ensuring beneficiaries record medication in medicine log,

Respond appropriately to routine questions and inquiries from beneficiaries or refer them to

Provide life skills education and assistance, including budgeting, apartment upkeep, stress management, conflict resolution, etc.

Develop and implement individualized case management services plans that ensure housing stability and identify short and long-term goals.

Provide education to clients on tenant rights and responsibilities, eviction prevention counseling and advocacy.

Provide crisis intervention and ensure that clients have access to the 24/7 case management crisis line.

Experience working with individuals who have a mental illness, chronic health issue, and/or substance use disorder OR

Experience working with individuals affected by the criminal justice system preferred.

Demonstrated organizational skills and proven ability to work independently and manage multiple projects and priorities within a multi-disciplinary team environment.

Proven professional experience and educational background.

In-depth knowledge of homeless populations, systems, and programs, including federal policy and program guidelines for CES.

Knowledge of complex, public systems of care for homeless populations, including mainstream resources.

Knowledge of relevant research on homelessness and evidence-based practices for homeless systems and interventions.

Strong written, verbal and presentation communication skills. Ability to communicate and present clearly and simply.

High school diploma/GED plus seven (7) years of the required experience will meet the education and experience requirements.

Associate degree in any field plus five (5) years of the required experience will meet the education and experience requirements.

Three (3) years of experience in the housing sector which must have included three (3) or more of the following:

General understanding of Community Development Block Grant and Home Improvement Partnership Program requirements is a plus.

Spanish speaking, writing, and reading skills are preferred

Bachelor’s degree in a public administration, planning or business field.

Excellent writing skills, including ability to provide quality documentation of case management encounters.

Two years providing case management/social services/outreach including harm reduction and motivational interviewing techniques.

Coordinates closely with benefits advocacy staff to facilitate SSI application process.

Strong organizational, administrative and problem-solving skills, and ability to be flexible and adaptive to change.

Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written skills and ability to effectively work with people from diverse backgrounds and be culturally sensitive.

Make appropriate use of knowledge/ expertise/ connections of other staff.

Solid knowledge of directing employees, financial systems, property management fundamentals, compliance background and experience in various affordable housing programs.

Three years of progressively responsible property/rental/venue/event management experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

Experience in property management preferred.

Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification, or Registration:

Plans, organizes, and oversees the regional property management operational activities of the programs and partners.

Management of budgeting, expenditures, and revenue collection.

Previous property management experience is required, fee management preferred

Supervises property staff to ensure goals are met; this includes hiring, training, and performance management

Proven supervisory skills to hire, lead, direct, and evaluate team members

Being financially savvy; previous experience in creating/adhering to budgets, fiscal reporting

Excellent communication skills: ability to read, write and communicate effectively

Manage daily operations of the property to achieve established budgeted financial and operational goals

BA/BS in human service field or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Work effectively with other employees, clients, users and management; promote and maintain a team environment.

Maintains up-to-date knowledge of regulations and requirements related to housing programs and client eligibility.

Two years of related work experience in housing programs field or equivalent

Follow through on assignments; accept work assignments from multiple managers and work areas; handle multiple and parallel projects.
