One year medical surgical experience in acute care setting required.

Demonstration of Effective Communication skills

Obtain OCN certification within 5 years of hire

Maintains all required certifications for the areas assigned.

Baccalaureate degree in Nursing preferred.

Proficient in IV/Central Line access and medication administration.

Speaks knowledgeably about Option Care’s scope of services and effectively instructs patients about related financial obligations for care and service charges.

Participates in nursing department on-call responsibilities.

Actively participates in facility process improvement program and assists Supervisor or Nurse Manager with chart audit functions as applicable.

Safety requirements include closed toe-shoes, facemask, goggles, gown and/or gloves and functioning device for communication in both routine and emergency situations.

Preferred Qualifications & Interests (PQIs)

Demonstrates compliance with agency operations, Option Care’s policies and procedures, professional standards, local, state, federal regulations/guidelines, and accreditation standards.

Professional assessment skills as applied to the patient, family/support system, and environment.

Resourceful in various infusion pumps such as the Braun Infusomat Pump and demonstrates competency with infusion skills.

Demonstrates knowledge of safety/infection control practices by complying with established policies and procedures.

Notifies manager of need for review and/or training related to equipment, procedures, or safety/infection control practices to promote professional growth.

Participates in all mandatory education in Success Factors and other specified ways per BCM guidelines.

Work closely with the Territory Manager or Regional Vice President of Sales present and negotiate therapy programs.

Minimum three years clinical (RN) nursing with at least one year IV infusion experience

Two years of sales experience (or equivalent)

Conduct initial infusion set-up and patient/caregiver training on our therapy services and technology.

Assess method of administration based on physician orders. Introduces formulary changes, diagnosis and route of feeding and advances in nutrition support.

Identify opportunities for improvement in patient care and participate in the institution's quality assurance/performance improvement initiatives as requested.

1-year professional nursing experience required

Demonstrates appropriate delegation and prioritization skills related to patient interventions and therapiesand cost-effective care.

RN license from the Texas Board of Nursing or Nurse Licensure Compact required

BLS from the American Heart Association required

Executes therapeutic physician or nurse interventions according to established standards of practice and appropriate policies and procedures related to care delivery

Identifies and documents changes in patient's condition and/or abnormal findings and uses appropriate problem solving and interventions
