Overview The Highway Technician Associate is responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the maintenance and repair of highways and roads. This includes inspecting, repairing, and maintaining roadways, bridges, and other related structures. The Highway Technician Associate must be able to work independently and as part of a team to ensure the safety of the public and the efficient operation of the highway system. Detailed Job Description The Highway Technician Associate is responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the maintenance and repair of highways and roads. This includes inspecting, repairing, and maintaining roadways, bridges, and other related structures. The Highway Technician Associate must be able to work independently and as part of a team to ensure the safety of the public and the efficient operation of the highway system. The Highway Technician Associate must be able to read and interpret plans and specifications, use hand and power tools, and operate a variety of equipment. The Highway Technician Associate must be able to work in all types of weather conditions and be able to lift and carry heavy objects. Job Skills Required
