Hedge Fund Manager Research Associate Jobs

Assist in the facilitation of the performance management processes

Manage internal and external meeting requirements (scheduling, room setup, technology setup, etc.)

Handle necessary facilities issues, deal with building and IT management and other firm vendors

Manage the onboarding and the offboarding of new and existing hires

Prepare semi-monthly payroll in coordination with the finance team

Manage calendars, coordinate all domestic and international travel, and process all expense reimbursements for the President and other C-Level Suite Executives

Conducting calls and meetings with hedge fund managers

Analyzing manager performance, portfolio positioning, and risk exposures

5+ years of experience in hedge fund due diligence or research – with the majority of time focused on equity strategies

In-depth knowledge of the hedge fund universe

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Drafting investment research reports and communicating research findings to clients

Liaise with Trading/Risk/Portfolio Management Departments to determine suitable recommendations for successful risk adverse investing

Present and test financial models and detailed analysis to Senior Management Team

Work closely with senior level clients to understand business, gather requirements, scope tasks, design and manage project plans

2+ years of experience (consulting/strategy, data research, investment bank or financial valuation preferred)

Excellent oral and written communications skills

Monitor and research trading patterns and identify trends representative of data

1-3 years of work experience in finance and/or related roles

Curiosity and basic understanding about the investment management industry

Basic financial modelling (experience here a plus)

Exceptional analytic/financial skills, particularly in excel

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Excellent interpersonal skills and work ethic with collaborative, team-first mindset

Previous experience of sharing knowledge, key learnings and best practice from experiences on the projects that they have been responsible for

Previous experience moderating a range of face-to-face and online sessions, and facilitating both client and consumer workshops

Previous experience of managing and leading end-to-end qualitative projects

Leads and takes responsibility for the successful on-time and on-budget delivery of projects that generate top quality results.
