Professional experience in nutrition, fitness and/or physical health preferred

Peer Employment Training and Arizona State Peer Certification

Exemplify great customer service and motivational skills

Good interpersonal and communication skills, evidenced by a non-judgmental approach, effective listening and positive interactions

Must have behavioral health lived experience

Strong reading comprehension, written and oral communication skills

Demonstrated experience with leadership advocacy or governance

A minimum of 6 months of stable employment or active enrollment in educational setting

Attending to needs of clients and their children under supervision of the safe house of the Safe House supervisor

Answer crisis line as needed

Assists clinical staff with facilitating groups, case management, skills training and non-clinical interventions.

Certification as a Recovery Support Specialist/Peer Support Specialist from an ADHS/DBHS approved education program (GRHC will provide training if needed).

Assists clients with developing life skills, support systems and community resources.

Supports a Culture of Kindness by modeling empathy and kindness, verbally and nonverbally, to clients and co-workers.

Strictly adheres to the principle of confidentiality.

Understands and follows safety standards in all aspects of job performance, reports unsafe conditions or equipment immediately.
