Position Summary:


Person in this position helps remove personal and environmental obstacles to recovery and illness management and linking individuals to community supports, and serves as a navigator and mentor in the management of personal and family supports


Essential Job Functions


  • Embrace and embody the mission, vision, guiding principles, clinical vision and goals of WestCare foundation
  • Follow all procedures od CACFP and meals
  • Help out where & when needed at the shelter
  • Assist with groups and functions to include meals
  • Attending to needs of clients and their children under supervision of the safe house of the Safe House supervisor
  • Answer crisis line as needed

Essential Qualifications:


Certifications/Licenses


  • As mandated by Presidential Order all employees of WestCare Foundation, Inc. and all affiliates of WestCare Foundation, Inc. will be required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 effective 11/1/2021. Employees that have requested a Medical or Religious Exemption, which has been approved by Human Resources will be required to test for the virus weekly.
  • During your tenure with WestCare there may be new requirements, including, but not limited to vaccinations that are issued by local, State, Federal, and/or Funders that WestCare may have to comply with. Should this occur Human Resources or appropriate personnel will inform you
  • Possession of a valid Drivers License and able to quality for WC vehicle insurance
  • Able to pass Arizona Central Registry background check


Education:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent


Experience and Competencies:
  • A minimum of 6 months
  • A minimum of one year without involvement with law enforcement
  • Demonstrated experience with leadership advocacy or governance
  • A minimum of one year without receiving in-patient and/or intensive treatment services
  • A minimum of 6 months of stable employment or active enrollment in educational setting
  • Bilingual would be an asset
  • Must have behavioral health lived experience
  • Must be 18 Years of age or older
  • In stable and safe housing
  • Continues to participate in support groups and/or behavioral health networks
  • Strong reading comprehension, written and oral communication skills


Working Conditions:
  • Normal work hours are from a.m. to p.m. Regular attendance is required. Working overtime required and essential to perform job duties at times.
  • Work is performed primarily in a residential setting
