Offer gentle mindful movement, breathing techniques, relaxation techniques, mindful meditation, and stress-reduction techniques.

Minimum of five (5) years of teaching experience specifically to Mental Health Inpatients in a Veterans Affairs Hospital setting.

Certification in the area of Chronic Pain, Trauma, and Mental Health.

Qualifications: The successful candidate for this position must meet the following qualifications:

Conduct 11 hours per week of Hatha-based Yoga Therapy sessions for 52 weeks.

Provide Yoga Therapy specifically designed for Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA) beneficiaries.

Must hold and maintain an RYT 200 certification or a Group Fitness Instructor certification by a nationally-recognized organization

Experience teaching Yoga Sculpt and or Barre

Midtown is looking for a Yoga Instructor to guide our members through the techniques of practicing yoga.

Must have educational background in Physical Education, Exercise Science, Health Education or related field

Valid Standard First Aid Certification

Must have excellent written and oral communication skills to work positively with different populations, in groups and individually

Ensuring that a safe and healthy environment exists for exercising

200+ hr Yoga certification from HealthFitness approved agency required.

Adult CPR/AED Certification through the American Heart Association, Red Cross or American Safety & Health Institute required.

Schedule: Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays or Saturdays*

Leads individual and group hikes and other various wellness experiences.

Cleans and organizes yoga and wellness offerings after each class.

Maintains, cleans and organizes all equipment utilized in yoga and wellness experiences.

Minimum of 200+ YTT certification required.

Instructs safe, professional and comprehensive yoga classes to promote wellness and relaxation.

Effectively discusses and explains different forms of yoga.
