Grants Program Manager Jobs in Ohio

At least 2 years in grant management and leadership in cross departmental and organizations is preferred.

Respond to questions from cost center managers relating to capital plans and grant funding

Manage Grant Administration and other grant writing resources within the Department

Communications - Excellent verbal, writing and non-verbal skills. Clear, concise, and persuasive

Customer Focus - Excellent problem-solving skills and a desire to exceed customer expectations

Three years experience in grants writing and grants administration is preferred, as is specific experience with government grants and grant regulations.

Grants Management - Develop, negotiate, implement, monitor, and evaluate grants for federal, state, local governments, or private entities.

Interpret complex federal grant guidance - Provide leadership, technical expertise, and program management for assigned grant programs.

Contract management - Prepare and complete contracts to include scopes of work and associated deliverables in accordance with grant guidelines.

Emergency Management Program Specialist 2

(in addition to the experience/education listed above, which may be gained concurrently):

Must meet requirements of the REAL ID Act. This is required for base access and will be required upon hire.

Coordinate with Park Managers and Bureau Directors for direction on the types of grants desired for each group.

Write and present grant proposals to the Grant Committee.

Develop policies and procedures for the Grants Program and maintain appropriate documentation.

Develop training for staff involved with projects or programs supported by grants.

Prepare budgets, track expenditures, ensure compliance, and prepare progress reports for grants awarded to the Bureau of Parks and Conservation.

Communicate with executives to provide updates and ensure grant outcomes align with intended goals.
