Conducts research on government program and state requirements as needed.

Participates in review of contract and regulatory requirements.

Assists in development and deployment of training programs related to government contract requirements.

Knowledge of state Medicaid Policies and Programs.

Computer Research abilities and experience.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or other technical equivalent

Experience with administration of federal contracts/grant agreements is required (5+ years of related experience desired)

Working knowledge of FAR, DFARS, 2 CFR 200, etc.

Computer skills (MS Excel/MS Office Suite)

Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills

Required Experience/Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Min. 5 – 7 years experience in a managed care environment (including Medicare, Medicaid and other State governed plans).

Knowledge of Medicare compliance requirements.

Serves as primary internal contact for informational requests and contract interpretations.

Develops and maintains consistent processes for all lines of business within the Government Contracts department.

7+ years experience in government programs and 2+ years management experience.

Serves as lead for contract knowledge and assists Plan President with various advocacy efforts in support of Plan business operations.

Oversees and monitors the implementation of new Medicaid and Medicare contractual and policy requirements, new legislation and regulations.

Extensive knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare, Marketplace and/or other government-sponsored programs.

Provides leadership on emerging health care issues, new business implementation, and strategic planning for the health plan.

Leads and supervises Regulatory Submissions and Filings.

Provide interpretation and guidance for account management by identifying risks and offering solutions to mitigate potential problems

Experience working with contract management, policies, and regulations regarding contracts and legal matters

Participate with teams to ensure contractual requirements are met as determined by established deliverables

Manages account deliverables and ensure adherence

Minimum of 10+ years of government contracting experience required

Ability to work remotely with occasional travel (10%-20%)

Advanced program management, leadership capabilities, and broad experience across multiple related professional disciplines

Minimum of 7+ years of relevant program/portfolio management experience with oversight of government contracts in a contractor setting

Deliver timely and clearly communicated decisions and recommendations to senior leadership, the program team, and management

Proficient with SharePoint, Adobe, or similar document/communication management applications

Ensure programs are executing within compliance with specifications, performance requirements, schedules, cost commitments, and internal policies and procedures

Proposal development experience highly preferred

Oversee government contract disputes, bid protests, Contract Disputes Act (CDA) claims and appeals.

Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school

Licensed in US (Active & In Good Standing)

Based near the District of Columbia
