Genetic Counseling Administrative Coordinator Jobs in Kansas

The Genetic Counseling Assistant (GCA) supports test utilization management efforts and resolves issues with test orders.

Maintains knowledge of systems involved in test ordering and test setup, including the provider portal, Salesforce, OSCAR, XA, and LIMS

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Appropriately identifies complex cases that require escalation to a supervisor or genetic counselor

Performs other related duties as assigned

Bachelor's degree from an accredited university. Preferred degree in Medical Technology, chemistry, biology, or related physical sciences.

Attend observational experiences with RTI staff and keep a log of completed experiences or assignments.

Recognize the roles of genetic counselors working in a research setting.

Define the objectives, methods and/or results of two translational research projects.

Have a basic understanding of qualitative research methods.

Describe the development of IRB protocols and the process for IRB review.

Identify and utilize tools for genomic variant interpretation and return of results.
