General Kitchen Helper Jobs in Texas

Cleans dishes and equipment in a safe and sanitary manner following department policies and procedures.

Utilizes approved cleaning agents in a safe and sanitary manner.

Works in all kitchen and cafeteria areas cleaning equipment, floors, walls, refrigerators, etc. in accordance with department standards.

Follows established policies for cleaning and sanitizing all small wares and equipment.

Disposes of trash into appropriate receptacles in a safe and sanitary manner throughout the production and other designated areas.

Make deliveries and pick-up of items upon request (ie: to and from the purchasing unit, maintenance department, etc.).

At least 3-4 years of experience in a high volume ala carte restaurant in management

Excellent skills in financial management and budgeting.

Organizational and time management skills.

Manage the beverage program as well as train all new employees to ensure strong knowledge of various drink options

Directly supervise and coordinate the activities of the management team and oversee supervision of associates.

A Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, hotel management, business or related field is preferred but not mandatory!

Experience in high-volume food preparation and serving is desired. School kitchen experience is preferred.

Ability to report to work on time and notify manager at the earliest possible time when unable to work.

Clean and sanitize utensils, dishes, and appliances, machines, and other equipment. Perform general cleaning duties in the kitchen.

Serve prepared food to students.

Adjust to change in a dynamic environment, maintaining productivity while handling other essential tasks as assigned.

Interact positively with students, building staff, and supervisors.
