Certifications that are job related

Experience as a commissioned law enforcement officer as a state, municipal, county, federal or tribal officer.

Experience in complex criminal, financial, and/or digital/cyber/internet investigations

Possess a Louisiana Peace Officer Standards and Training Certification (P.O.S.T);

Knowledge of state and federal rules and regulations related to health care and the facilities, particularly in the Medicaid program;

Be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.

Be a citizen of the United States.

Possess a valid motor vehicle operator’s license.

Pass medical, physical, and psychological examinations, which include a drug-screening.

Be willing to and able to qualify with, carry, and use assigned weapons.

Requires successful completion of the firearms qualification during the first 12 months of employment.

Prefers one (1) year experience writing investigative reports.

Prefers one (1) year experience reviewing or analyzing records to ensure compliance with regulations, statutes, laws.

Processes casino and video gaming applications for licenses.

Performs other duties as required or assigned, which are reasonably within the scope of duties enumerated above.

At the time of hire, possess sufficient physical fitness to pass/complete the Peace Officer Wellness Evaluation Report (POWER) test.
