Ensuring all legal reporting requirements are met.

Organizing events to raise money for a cause or organization.

Researching and identifying potential donors.

Maintaining donor records to ensure they’re accurate and up to date.

Utilizing online fundraising platforms such as GoFundMe, DonorBox, OneCause, Bonfire, Fundly, etc. to raise donations.

Developing marketing strategies for events to ensure that each event is successful and meets its fundraising goals.

Familiarity with common database management and donor software programs.

Manage and update the donor database.

2+ years’ experience in responsible fundraising and/or high-dollar membership position and customer interaction with VIPs

Previous nonprofit and/or membership association experience preferred.

Proven fundraising ability with exceptional writing, organizational, and interpersonal skills required.

Strong leadership and team management abilities; ability to collaborate across the organization

Oversee event logistics including vendor management

Strong knowledge of fundraising principles, techniques and ethics; experience in devising strategies for cultivation and solicitation of donors

Develop and manage event budgets

Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of relevant experience in fundraising at a non-profit

Proven experience planning and executing large-scale fundraising events

Experience with building event-based stewardship plans and working with donor CRM databases. Preferred (HubSpot)

Ability to manage a large portfolio of engagement events and communications.

Efficiently and accurately administer gift processing; donations in the donor database (HubSpot)

Use prospect research tools and donor databases to identify potential major donors.

Previous experience in event planning or other related fields

Coordinate all event activities and personnel

Distribute all meeting information and supplies to attending personnel

Calculate and propose budgets for planned events or meetings

Research and identify successful event opportunities

Maintain stock of event supplies

Maintain accurate and up-to-date donor information in the organization’s donor management system. 

Contribute to the management of communication strategies for fundraising events and campaigns. 

Manage logistics, such as venue selection, vendor coordination and vendor payments, budget tracking, and on-site event support. 

Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of fundraising events, including galas, auctions, and donor appreciation events. 

Oversee all logistics of the event from start to finish, including managing any interns and volunteers (which include committee members/board members). 

Collaborate with the external events team to ensure events run smoothly and meet fundraising goals.
