Overview A Forestry Equipment Field Technician is responsible for providing technical support to forestry equipment operators and customers. They inspect, diagnose, and repair forestry equipment, such as chainsaws, skidders, feller bunchers, and other forestry machinery. They also provide preventative maintenance and troubleshooting services. Detailed Job Description A Forestry Equipment Field Technician is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing forestry equipment. They must be able to identify and troubleshoot problems with the equipment, and provide preventative maintenance services. They must be able to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics, and use specialized tools and diagnostic equipment. They must be able to communicate effectively with customers and other technicians. They must also be able to perform basic administrative tasks, such as filing paperwork and ordering parts.
