Some Of Your Primary Responsibilities

You will ensure our equipment is maintained and handle minor repairs.

You will ensure our club is super clean because members value this and we’re known for that too!

Designing individual exercise programs for members based on the member’s exercise experience, medical background and personal goals.

Prior experience in personal or group training or a bachelor’s degree in exercise science is preferred.

Current CPR Certification required; paid for by employer.

First Aid, CPR, Lifeguard, and AED certified. Lifeguard Trainer and Water Safety Instructor Trainer Certification preferred.

Higher level of function and autonomy, but still needs oversight. May have some “charge duty” responsibilities, but not full supervisory responsibility.

Nationally recognized certification in Group Fitness Instruction

Nationally recognized certification in Exercise Science

American Heart Association Basic Life Support Certification

All exercise scripts have to be co-signed by higher-level ES

Significant on the job training takes place at this level.

Personal Trainer certification is required

ACSM, ACE, NETA, NSCA, or approved National Certification required

Recommended CPR certification from the American Heart Association

Bachelor of Science in Health Promotions, Exercise Physiology or related field recommended

Provides general office clerical support, including but not limited to client reception and service, filing, calendar management, etc.

Manages office operation under supervision; performs duties and maintains appropriate records pertaining to specific department functions.

Provides information and clarification about the T-Bird gym and services offered.

1 year of front office experience

Perform data entry, maintain records

Associate degree or equivalent college coursework and experience

Assist with interdepartmental programs and other community service events and activities. Maintain all certifications required to teach certain classes. (20%)

Implement fitness programs, classes and activities of the department and perform other duties as assigned by the Director. (20%)

Monitor members and guest in the department to ensure the safety of all patrons. (20%)

Manages the Fitness Center while providing excellent customer service and high-quality programs

Assists the Manager with identifying potential safety hazards in the PE Building and on the athletic fields

1- 2 years of fitness center/coaching experience preferred

Nationally recognized certification in strength and conditioning, fitness training or personal trainer preferred

Proficient/accurate data entry sills preferred

Excellent communication skills; written and oral
