Family Services Librarian Jobs in Maryland

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Knowledge of the principles and correct usage of the English language including grammar, punctuation, and spelling

Engage others who are passionate about providing an exemplary patron experience

Two (2) years of experience providing services to youth

Prior customer service experience in a public library

Prior experience with programming for youth

Anyone offered employment is required to provide proper identification and documentation of eligibility for employment in the US.

If you have military experience, you will be asked to provide a copy of DD214.

Official transcripts for all higher education must be received prior to contract signing.

All newly hired personnel must attend a Badges and Benefits session.

Some positions will require employees to undergo a physical examination and/or drug testing.

Additional job verification will be required for salary credit.

Manage branch or system-level services/ programs and/or lead projects and teams, as assigned

Assume duties and responsibilities of "librarian-in charge" as assigned and make decisions in accordance with regulations andestablishedpolicies

Minimum 1 year of work experience and/or classroom training in working with teens, grades 6th through 12th(internships may be considered)
