Exhibition Design Coordinator Jobs in New York

1-2 years’ experience in architecture or related design field

Advanced 2D drafting skills, preferably Vectorworks; advanced 3D modeling skills, preferably Rhino and V-Ray, and fluency in Adobe Suite.

Professional experience with millwork detailing, material specifications, and the production of Construction Documents preferred.

Good communication skills, both verbal and written.

Assist in producing architectural design documents from schematics through construction, including prototypes, millwork detailing and material specification.

Has demonstrated strong project management experience (2 years) preferably in a product or creative agency environment

Has experience working in software/tech industry as a partner to design and product managers (1-2 years) is preferred

Manage calendar invites, schedules, room bookings, and agendas for all meetings and workshops

Facilitation skills, for thinks like retrospectives to identify process improvements

Model-making skills and familiarity with hand and power tools are a plus

Supporting project 2D staff with exhibit graphic design development

Contributing to exhibit visual identity development

Knowledge of lighting systems and track fixtures along with experience with lighting artwork.

Five to 10 years professional experience as a lighting technician.

Knowledge of running and terminating electrical cables, able to diagnose issues and follow building code.

Considerable knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions of the work.

Ability to follow construction drawings and equipment specifications.

Ability to operate lifts while following safety procedures.

Five to 10 years of progressively responsible experience in exhibition project management, preferably in an arts, culture, and/or nonprofit environment.

Prepares and manages exhibition budgets.

Works with Director and Associate Director of EP&A, and with Exhibition Managers in handling insurance specific to assigned exhibitions.

Administers and manages touring exhibitions, co-organized exhibitions, content licensing, and other collaborations.

Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to efficiently manage several exhibitions and projects simultaneously.
