Overview Estimating Assistants are responsible for providing support to the Estimator in the preparation of cost estimates for construction projects. They are responsible for gathering and analyzing data, researching materials and labor costs, and preparing estimates for the Estimator’s review. Detailed Job Description Estimating Assistants are responsible for providing support to the Estimator in the preparation of cost estimates for construction projects. They are responsible for gathering and analyzing data, researching materials and labor costs, and preparing estimates for the Estimator’s review. Estimating Assistants must be able to read and interpret blueprints and specifications, and must be familiar with construction materials and methods. They must also be able to use computers to enter and analyze data. Job Skills Required

Job Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Previous experience in construction or estimating
