Coordinate daily Floor Care services with nursing services when performing routine cleaning assignments in resident living and/or recreational areas.

Ensure that assigned work areas are maintained in a clean, safe, comfortable, and attractive manner.

Keep work assignment areas free of hazardous objects such as protruding mop/broom handles, unnecessary equipment, supplies, etc.

High School Diploma or GED certification - preferred.

Prior experience as a housekeeper in a hospital setting preferred.

Notify (ES) Manager of mechanical failures or unsafe conditions.

Some background in institutional cleaning required.

Less than 1 year Minimum of 6 months experience working in housekeeping within a hospital setting preferred

The incumbent in this role must have written and oral communication skills.

Distributes clean linen to appropriate areas.

Removes soiled linen from utility rooms.

Dusts, mops and sanitizes patient rooms, restrooms, offices, utility rooms, and common areas, using appropriate solutions.

Empty trash and move waste to appropriate areas within the hospital.

Maintain open communication with team members and management to ensure customer satisfaction.

Report any issues or concerns to management promptly.

Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while performing job duties.

One year floor care experience or more in Healthcare or Nursing Home.

Requires enough basic education to understand and follow standard practice or oral and written instructions.

Perform floor maintenance tasks such as weeping mopping and buffing floors.

Demonstrates knowledge of facility safety requirements.

Uses effective guest service/interpersonal skills at all times.

Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Complete cleaning schedules on a daily, weekly or monthly basis.

Clean and sanitize floors and furniture to infection-control policies, clean mattresses and beds according to established procedures.

Knowledge and experience operating various pieces of equipment such as high-speed buffers, extractors, wet vacs, pressure washers, and auto scrubbers.

High School diploma or equivalent education.

Minimum 1 ½ years’ experience in floor care.

Report any damage or potential damage to property to management immediately.

Requires at least one (1) year experience with on-site grounds work.

Must have experience maintaining floors.

Clean trash and garbage from the premises - inside of fence and outside of fence.

Clean and hose down parking lots.

A minimum of 3 years of directly relevant job-related experience may be substituted for the educational requirement.

Reports deficiencies in patient rooms and throughout WHC to shift supervisor and/or facilitates management for action.
