Floor Tech - Environmental Services
Northridge Hospital Medical Center

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Floor Tech to join our team. The Floor Tech will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of floors the hospital and offices. Maintains assigned patient and non-patient areas in a clean and sanitary condition by performing specialized cleaning tasks which involve operating heavy-duty equipment and using special cleaning equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Use appropriate cleaning agents equipment and techniques to ensure floors are clean sanitized and free from debris.
  • Strip and wax floors as needed to maintain a high level of cleanliness and appearance.
  • Perform floor maintenance tasks such as weeping mopping and buffing floors.
  • Maintain open communication with team members and management to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Report any issues or concerns to management promptly.
  • Maintain equipment and supplies necessary for job performance.
  • Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while performing job duties.

Qualifications
  • Fire Safety Card (obtain within 90 days of hire date).
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Keep simple records or use simple office machines.
  • One year floor care experience or more in Healthcare or Nursing Home.
  • Requires enough basic education to understand and follow standard practice or oral and written instructions.
  • Able to read and write use simple arithmetic.

This position is represented by SEIU-UHW and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.

Pay Range

$20.31 - $24.81 /hour
