JOB TITLE: Floor Tech/Groundskeeper
LOCATION: Metairie Manor
Job Summary
The Groundskeeper must be able to efficiently perform grounds and light maintenance duties in an effort to maintain a clean and attractive property on a daily basis.
General
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Clean trash and garbage from the premises - inside of fence and outside of fence.

Wash down porch areas on all buildings.

• Other duties as assigned.
• Keep outside laundry vents cleaned.
• Perform basic grounds keeping duties in the care for trees, shrubs, and ground areas which are:
• Remove garbage and furniture from around dumpsters.
• Check all around grounds, buildings, parking lot, and front sidewalks for papers, bottles, cans, branches, etc.
• Watering grounds as needed
• Clean and hose down parking lots.
• Check all lights (exit lights, fixtures, stairwell lights, hall lights) and replace light bulbs when needed.
• Works as part of a team, as well as complete assignments independently.
• Report any damage or potential damage to property to management immediately.
• Maintains a professional, compassionate and welcoming attitude toward managers, co-workers, residents, and visitors.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced & ministry oriented environment.
• Paint apartments, doors and other areas as assigned by the administrative staff.
• Responsible for care and use of supplies and equipment used in the performance of duties.
• Leaves work areas and tools clean and orderly at end of the workday.
• Picking up trash on grounds

Maintenance

• Clean and maintain interior floors using buffers/scrubbers, etc.
• Responsible for using all supplies cautiously, wearing protective gear such as gloves and eye wear, etc. Must be able to properly utilize all equipment necessary to perform job.
• Assist maintenance staff with other duties such as make ready(s), etc.
• Responsible for the upkeep and storage of all Groundskeeper equipment and supplies.

Physical Demands

• Must be able to frequently lift, carry, pull or push 25 pounds or more.
• Must be able to frequently stoop, kneel, bend, lift and reach.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must have experience maintaining floors.
• Requires at least one (1) year experience with on-site grounds work.

Education

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
