Entry Level Manufacturing Machine Operator Jobs in Kansas

Decision making skills on product quality based on specifications and visual observations

1 – 3 Years mechanical and/or manufacturing experience

Knowledge of cable manufacturing processes.

Microsoft Office Suites; SAP a plus Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent

Various shifts available ( Sunday through Friday from 03:00pm to 11:30pm )

Qualified to set up and operate specific work center, work center equipment and/or tasks under normal supervision -

Knowledge of Alpine winder controls

Knowledge of operation of safety ropes, light curtains and doors on nips, bag machines and separators

Mechanical - Knowledge of machines and tools, including their uses.

Safety and Security - Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote safe operations.

Mathematics - Knowledge of arithmetic. ( multiplication, division, addition, subtraction and measurements)

Education - Prefer High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate)

Perform all work procedures according to established Quality Management & Environmental Management Systems.

Perform job responsibilities and tasks in compliance to Company policies, procedures and safety and environmental regulations.

Read and understand work order/BOM or follow oral instructions to operate machinery and produce a part that meets all specifications.

Load and unload material into frame of forming machine or trimming fixture.

Push button or depress pedal to activate machines.

Load and unload plastic parts into die cutter or CNC fixture for trimming.

Read blueprint and / or job order for product specifications

Follow set up notes / set up book instructions

Understands and can set / use all machine parameters and functions

Periodically verifies conformance of twisted wire to customer specifications

Forklift license required to move material

Ability to use hand tools i.e. hammers, wrenches, air tools, hand shear, etc.
