Entry Level Manufacturing Machine Operator

Summary

Operates various fabrication machines to produce quality products to customer specifications. Will have ability to operate 2 or more machines, deburr parts and may be required to do set ups. Promotes and utilizes standard safety practices

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned as required or needed

Twisting Machine

• Ability to use hand tools i.e. hammers, wrenches, air tools, hand shear, etc.
• Read blueprint and / or job order for product specifications
• Understands and can set / use all machine parameters and functions
• Follow set up notes / set up book instructions
• Periodically verifies conformance of twisted wire to customer specifications
• Forklift license required to move material

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. 1 year manufacturing experience in fabrication utilizing drill presses, manual mills, tag machine, hone machine, shears / saws, blank press, and /or twisting machines or applicable experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to communicate production problems/questions to departmental management

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to work with shop math functions as required.

REASONING ABILITY Must be quality conscious. Must be able to work effectively with people and demonstrate an understanding of and respect for the rights of individuals with disabilities. Maintain a professional work atmosphere by being courteous, respectful and non-interfering with customers, co-workers, and management.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Position requires lifting up to 50 pounds, standing in one place for up to 8 hours a day and repetitive motion. Requires good use of both hands and arms; good hand-eye coordination.

The environmental temperature has extreme fluctuations based on outdoor temperature; however, fans are provided for air circulation.
