Effective organization and time management skills

2 or more years of experience preferably with Products

Some experience in training large or small groups and/or public speaking

Effective verbal and written communication skills

Underwrites new business, renewals and endorsements in accordance with company guidelines, authority levels and procedures

Aids agents and customers on non-UW service issues

Must be self-driven, detail oriented, and possess strong organizational skills including time-management and prioritization.

70,000 - $85,000 base salary plus bonus. Salary commensurate with knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Develop relationships with both external and internal customers, with the "customer experience" in mind.

Minimum of 3 years of Commercial Package underwriting experience required.

Strong verbal and written communication skills including negotiation skills.

Expert level relationship management and broker distribution skills.

Manage key broker, producer, insurance industry and client relationships.

The Lead GrowPro Underwriter handles the underwriting for the GrowPro Program and reports directly to GrowPro Program Manager.

Minimum of 7 years of P&C underwriting experience in the manufacturing and/or food processing industries.

Experience underwriting both on admitted and non-admitted paper.

Experience in a mid-size business unit and/or company going through rapid change or growth.
