Maintaining client records regarding all interactions, enrollments, changes, and achievements in a case management database

Working with GSUL clients seeking employment to assess their needs, skills, and limitations and provide coaching for successful job placement

Identifying job opportunities based on clients' skill assessments

Assisting clients in filling out employment applications, CalJobs registration, and Unemployment benefits applications

A minimum of 2 years of relevant paid work experience is required

Experience working with clients with diverse backgrounds

Assist in developing knowledge of employment and job placement opportunities.

Arrange and schedule training and educational programs for clients.

Screen clients for eligibility for a broad range of employment related service strategies to guide individuals into the labor market.

Assist and support clients in making career decisions, setting training and employment goals and identifying and implementing strategies to achieve goals.

Develop and write individualized employment plans with clients; consult with other staff and agencies, schools and employers.

Provide and document individual and group vocational counseling and referral services.
