Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may substitute for education requirements.

Consult with physicians, managers, and staff for the management of infectious and/or immune-suppressed patients.

Experience in Infection Control with basic knowledge of the principles of epidemiology and inctions, diseases, sterilization, sanitation, and disinfection practice preferred.

ICP or related certification preferred.

Minimum of 1 year clinical experience in medical-surgical or critical care nursing.

Experience in handling employee health preferred.

Serves as the worker compensation lead and ensures compliance with program requirements, including education to staff.

Maintain knowledge of current regulatory requirements for OSHA, The Joint Commission and other state and federal programs.

Maintain all licensure and/or certification requirements.

Collaborates with management to ensure accommodation/transitional duty for staff are adhered to as per physician’s

High level of skill at building relationships and providing excellent customer service.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

At least 2 years experience in an acute care setting required

At least 1 year experience in Employee Health as an occupational health nurse or experience as a school nurse required

Actual salary commensurate with experience.

Provides direct nursing care to assigned patients.

BLS certification from the American Heart Association required

1 or more years of RN experience

Previous experience in Occupational Health, school nursing or ER helpful

Current licensure with the Board of Nursing for the State of Texas or Nurse Licensure Compact

Proficiency in EMR software systems preferred

Provides acute injury and illness treatment for non-occupational events

Minimum Education, Training and Experience Required:

· Employee Health, Occupational Medicine, Workers Compensation, Safety, Wellness, and Acute Care knowledge and experience preferred.

· Current certification through accredited certification program.

· Current basic life support certification required.

· Minimum of 2-3 years advanced practice clinical experience required.

· Experience with OSHA as well as state and federal guidelines preferred.
