You will be responsible for providing customer service to our employees and helping them understand their benefits. You will also be responsible for processing benefit enrollment forms and assisting with the administration of employee benefits. Overview Employee Benefits Technician I is responsible for providing administrative support to the employee benefits department. This includes processing employee benefit enrollments, changes, and terminations, as well as providing customer service to employees and other stakeholders. Detailed Job Description• Process employee benefit enrollments, changes, and terminations in a timely and accurate manner.
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding benefit plans, eligibility, and enrollment.
• Maintain employee benefit records in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Assist with the preparation of benefit plan documents, such as summary plan descriptions and enrollment forms.
• Assist with the preparation of benefit plan reports and other documents as needed.
• Assist with the preparation of benefit plan audits and other compliance activities.
• Assist with the preparation of benefit plan communications and other materials.
• Assist with the administration of employee benefit programs, such as health and welfare plans, retirement plans, and other voluntary benefits.
• Assist with the development and implementation of employee benefit policies and procedures.
• Assist with the development and implementation of employee benefit programs.
• Participate in employee benefit-related meetings and training sessions.
• Maintain a working knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to employee benefits.
Job Skills Required
• Knowledge of employee benefit plans and programs.
• Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to employee benefits.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Job Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• At least two years of experience in employee benefits administration.
• Professional certification in employee benefits (e.g., CEBS, PHR, SHRM-CP).
Job Knowledge
• Knowledge of employee benefit plans and programs.
• Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to employee benefits.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
Job Experience
• At least two years of experience in employee benefits administration.
