Overview Emergency Physician Assistants (EPAs) are healthcare professionals who provide medical care in emergency settings. They work in collaboration with emergency physicians to diagnose and treat patients with acute illnesses and injuries. EPAs are responsible for performing physical examinations, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and providing medical care to patients in emergency departments. Detailed Job Description Emergency Physician Assistants are responsible for providing medical care to patients in emergency departments. They work in collaboration with emergency physicians to diagnose and treat patients with acute illnesses and injuries. EPAs are responsible for performing physical examinations, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and providing medical care to patients in emergency departments. They may also provide patient education, coordinate patient care, and provide follow-up care. Job Skills Required• Knowledge of medical terminology

Job Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies or related field
• Certification as a Physician Assistant (PA)
• Current state license to practice as a Physician Assistant
• Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program
• At least two years of experience in an emergency department setting
Job Knowledge
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Knowledge of anatomy and physiology
• Knowledge of pharmacology
• Knowledge of emergency medicine
• Knowledge of diagnostic tests and procedures
• Knowledge of medical ethics and laws
Job Experience
• At least two years of experience in an emergency department setting
• Experience in patient assessment and diagnosis
• Experience in ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests
• Experience in providing medical care in emergency settings
Job Responsibilities
• Perform physical examinations and order and interpret diagnostic tests
• Provide medical care to patients in emergency departments
• Coordinate patient care and provide follow-up care
• Educate patients on medical conditions and treatments
