Responsible for collecting visit copays and cash collections management (send cash to A/P, notify A/P if no cash has been collected)

Proficient in Electronic Health Records (EHR) and Electronic Practice Management Systems (EPM)

Performs computer data entry, document and card scanning and validation

Manages patient flow from front to back office

Under supervision of the Center Supervisor or Manager, enters and maintains provider templates as needed

Keeps statistical records as requested by Center Supervisor or Manager

Education, Licenses, certification, and experience requirements:

Provides administrative support as assigned such as telephone back-up, schedule management, ordering supplies, data entry and document preparation and management.

Obtains information necessary from enrollees/caregivers to process Medicare/Medicaid enrollments.

Coordinates application processes to assure required timeframes and desired outcomes are met.

Communicates appropriate information to NC and SE staff in a timely manner.

Communicates information to appropriate FCHP departments.

Relevant educational or work experience preferred

Manages several active donor cases at a time with exceptional attention to detail, efficiency, quality, and urgency.

0-2 years of donor coordination or eye banking experience

Medical terminology and experience preferred

Physical Requirements (for essential functions):

Strong attention to detail and organization skills to effectively manage multiple vendor relationships

Minimum of one (1) year of experience in health care billing and/or authorization practices

General knowledge of the framework, organization, and function of home care

Sound knowledge of health care operations and third-party reimbursement

Recent experience with managed care eligibility administration functions including file management and reconciliation. Experience working with enrollment and customer service applications.

Demonstrated problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.

Excellent customer service skills to handle billing issues, complaints and other related matters.

Experience working with EPIC Tapestry and GE-Centricity Systems.

Familiarity with project management tools (e.g. MS Project, Smart Sheets, etc.).
