Actively support critical aspects of EHS management system that elevates partners and encourages engagement.

Maintain accurate daily, weekly and monthly metrics reporting to onsite management teams and corporate based reporting systems.

Ensure partners adhere to legal and operational compliance requirements.

Assist the EHS manager in analyzing data and trends to proactively predict and prevent injuries.

College or technical education preferred

Experience with OSHA regulations, specifically 29 CFR 1910 (1 year)

Strong Environmental experience preferred. Craning and Rigging knowledge preferred, Certified Safety Professional preferred.

Responsible for hazardous waste management activities including: registration, identification, transportation, disposal, internal audits, TSDF audits, SPCC program, and training.

Knowledge of Environmental Science and Technology.

Conduct New Hire Safety Training per SMS requirements

OSHA 30-hour course completion-or position in EHS with understanding of basic OSHA requirements

Associate degree or 2-3 years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment where safety was at least 40% of job

Certification in Health and Safety Management (Preferred)

Manage all incident/accident investigations; support effective injury/illness case management including return-to-work/transitional duty programs; lost time injury rate, OSHA recordable incident rate;

Project management and training background

Manage the development and execution of small capital projects (<$15K) to improve EHS for the site.

Demonstrated knowledge in development of Job Safety and Job Hazard analysis (JHA and JSA)

Experience managing continuous improvement projects

Ensure in compliance with federal, state, and local EHS regulations, as well as J&J EHS Standards including Management of Change.

Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience

Experience identifying, evaluating, and controlling health and safety risks in the workplace

Ability to collaborate with EHS professionals and manage additional multi-site EHS resources

Manufacturing/R&D experience in a highly regulated environment

Technical/working knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations

Facilitates/Leads joint employee-management EHS committees.

Prepare and maintain the management system for compliance.

Prepare activity reports as communicated to the Process Safety Management (PSM) and EHS Team members.

Maintain education/training on OSHA/EPA requirements and other mandatory local, state, and federal topics.

Manages site Title V Air Permitting and compliance, wastewater permits, stormwater permits, RCRA and remediation programs.

Reviews safety and work practices at plant level and conduct Incident Investigations with General Managers and other facility personnel.

Strong knowledge of regulations and experience with planning, permitting reporting, etc.

5-15 years of EHS consulting/compliance experience

At least 5 years of experience performing environmental compliance audits (preference given to candidates with experience performing EHS compliance audits)

Experience working in an industrial setting, either as a consultant or directly for industrial facilities

Relevant experience would include: Environmental Compliance, Safety, Health Management, Engineering, Workers Compensation Management and Leadership.

Minimum 2 years of relative experience required

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Quickly grasps new concepts when faced with unfamiliar tasks

Understanding of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma desired

Implement the requirements of the client’s EHS Management Plan (EHSMP) and Environmental Health and Safety Plan (EHASP);

Relevant construction experience, five years of which were exclusively in construction EHS management.
