Knowledge of behavior management, crisis intervention and, interventions common to acute psychotic as well as to non-violent crisis intervention practice.

Maintain accurate and continued nursing documentation including patient histories, conditions, treatments, responses, pain management and assessment of changes.

Basic knowledge of appropriate educational methods.

Provide education regarding patient’s disease process.

Provide medication education for the patient and family, including uses and potential side effects.

Provide support for medical assistants to assure conformance with established standards and procedural requirements.

Actively works to enhance case management skills

Knowledge of behavior management, crisis intervention and interventions common to

Knowledge of educational methods appropriate to adults with severe and persistent psychiatric disorders

Knowledge of rules and regulations regarding appropriate benefit entitlements such as social security, Medicaid, and Medicare

Effectively manages caseload based on consumer needs

Knowledge of psychiatric and substance use disorders in the adult population and/or knowledge of addiction as a primary/secondary illness
