Salary range = Up to $80,000 + monthly bonus

· Identify and develop new group business for the Corporate and Leisure markets

· Negotiate locally negotiated rates and group bookings with rooms and meeting space

· Assist in developing and reviewing monthly and yearly sales plans

· Participate in weekly sales meetings, marketing strategy conference calls, and sales blitzes

Manage talent/performance management and feedback.

Bachelor or Masters degree in Business, Hotel Management or related field.

Manage guest expectations for all functional teams; deal with complaints and be visible for assistance.

Manage hotel inspection team in order to develop and prioritize the necessary repair and maintenance as well as capex plans.

Must have at 10 years of operating experience. Hotel/ hospitality experience is required. Technical experience is preferred.

Work closely with shoreside functional hotel areas (e.g., Housekeeping operations) to assure key projects and initiatives are being implemented onboard.

Transfers functional knowledge and develops group sales skills of other discipline managers.

Verifies that effective structures, processes, jobs and performance management systems are in place.

Demonstrated skills in supervising a team.

Hotel industry work experience, demonstrating progressive career growth and a pattern of exceptional performance.

Supports the General Manager by coordinating crisis communications.

Develops and manages internal key stakeholder relationships.

Skills, Experience and Education Requirements

Prefer previous Hotel Manager/Director experience within the Cruise Industry (3-5 years) or equivalent experience.

The Hotel Director reports to the Vice President Guest Experience for the Company policies and procedures.

A university Bachelor’s or Master’s degree(s) or significant related experience.

The Hotel Director reports to the Captain regarding vessel operations onboard.

Formulate sales strategies that sustain high levels of occupancy and profitability in collaboration with department managers and their goals

Knowledge of computer-based software such as Microsoft Word and Excel

Strong analytical skills, communication skills, and leadership skills

Prior experience of 5+ years as a sales professional in a related field is required

Previous hospitality industry experience preferred but not required

Design a strategy to meet hotel financial goals, create marketing deliverables, and develop an annual sales forecast by analyzing market data

Develop and implement sales strategies that maintain high levels of occupancy and profitability through coordination with department managers

Prior experience in the hospitality field is a plus
