Director Of Accounting Finance Department Jobs in Florida

Analyze financial data and operations to assist and advise management in maintaining the hotels’ financial objectives.

At least 5 or more years of Hospitality Finance/Accounting experience.

Prior Control or Director of Finance experience, preferably at a premium-branded Hotel.

Perform other duties as requested by management.

Complies with Standard Accounting policies and procedures and internal controls for finance and accounting operations

Directs or prepares all financial reports following Wurzak Hotels’ requirements, meeting various due dates and deadlines.

Responsible for all payroll and management of employee benefits

Four Year BA or BS in Accounting, Finance or Business Management

Expertise in managing payroll - ADP experience preferred- and employee benefits

Create and manage annual budgets.

Manage financial aspects of business partners such as vendors and suppliers.

At least 3 years progressive accounting experience with the ability to create, understand and analyze financial data

4-year bachelor's degree in Finance and Accounting or related major; no work experience required.

Attends critique meetings to review information with management team.

Assisting in Management of Accounting Team

Utilizes interpersonal and communication skills to lead, influence, and encourage others; advocates sound financial/business decision making; demonstrates honesty/integrity; leads by example.

Demonstrates knowledge of job-relevant issues, products, systems, and processes.

Keeps up-to-date technically and applying new knowledge to your job.

Retail experience and a strong understanding of Inventory are highly preferred.

Advanced skills in MS Excel are required.

Accountable for ensuring that internal controls are enforced and maintained to provide reasonable assurance that the company assets are protected.

Responsible for reviewing monthly/quarterly account reconciliations.

Be the main contact point for the internal and external auditors.

Responsible for accounting of leases, review, and analysis of lease agreements.
