Overview Diesel Mechanics are responsible for maintaining and repairing diesel engines and related components. They inspect, diagnose, and repair diesel engines, as well as perform preventative maintenance on diesel engines and related components. They may also be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems, fuel systems, and other components. Detailed Job Description Diesel Mechanics are responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing diesel engines and related components. They must be able to identify and diagnose problems with diesel engines and related components, and then repair or replace them. They must be able to use diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot and diagnose problems. They must also be able to perform preventative maintenance on diesel engines and related components.
