Complete ongoing training to earn and maintain certification to book travel

Effectively manage your time when researching trips and communicating with clients

Network with tour operators regarding packages that you can possibly offer to clients

Personal travel experience is a huge plus, however not required

Previous experience in customer service or hospitality also a plus, but not required

Research, Create, and Execute exceptional itineraries for clients

Two or more years of experience in customer service or the travel industry

Excellent and quick decision-making skills

Offer potential clients a comprehensive price quote for destination packages

Strong ability to communicate in writing and speaking

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States

High School Diploma or equivalent

Exceptional skills in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) and online donor management database

Experience tracking and reporting on progress to management and a board of directors

Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Marketing or related field preferred.

The Development & Event Manager will manage project planning and logistics for FCS Foundation special events and fundraising/development initiatives.

In addition this position will manage the Foundation's online donor tracking and event software to manage donor gifts and cultivate donors.

3-5 years of event planning experience.

Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience, and/or certifications may be considered.

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Hospitality Management or closely related field.

Two years of full-time experience in event coordination and planning in a higher education setting.

Two years of relevant full-time experience in administrative support or event planning.

Experience operating a personal computer and proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).

Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices.

Managing and budgeting customer finances

Having good knowledge of geographic locations and their main attractions

No experience necessary, we will train you.

Listening attentively to customer requests and keeping records of these requests

Selecting an appropriate venue suitable for the type of event

Organizing audiovisual equipment in advance
