Development Chemist Jobs

Produce novel reactive thermoset systems that meet technical requirements for Chromatic’s reactive 3D printing RX-AM TMPlatform

Perform fundamental and design of experiments to develop new products and processes that meet customer requirements

Perform detailed analytical characterization (viscosity, reactivity, GPC, manage external analytical testing) to meet throughput and product quality needs

Analytical and polymer characterization experience

Produce novel reactive thermoset systems that meet technical requirements for Chromatic’s reactive 3D printing RX-AM

Perform lab process development and scale-up of new thermoset systems for commercialization

Masters or Ph.D. in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering with strong heterogenous gas-phase catalysis, inorganic chemistry & physical chemistry practical experience

Experience with carboxylic acids, amines, aldehydes, organic nitriles, cyanide synthesis preferred.

Industrial experience in a plant environment is a plus.

Ability to articulate financial benefits of specific projects in clear & concise terms

Effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously

Perform standard QC chemist job duties in event of illness, vacation or other reasons as deemed by laboratory manager;

Maintain clean and organized lab work area; • Assists in management and development of processes and safety programs;

Provides on-call and overtime support as needed in the evenings and other required times as designated by management;

Additional duties may be added or removed as management requires.

Specialized technical/aptitude experience: minimum of 1-5 years’ experience, and demonstrated knowledge and proficiency with gravimetric and analytic techniques.

Conduct research and development of new and existing products in coordination with the laboratory manager;

·Excellent organizational abilities including prioritization and managements of multiple projects for the timely delivery of objectives.

·Demonstrated teamwork skills and capabilities.

Remote work:Reporting to office daily

·Support the qualification of alternative suppliers for strategic raw materials.

·Demonstrated skills in organic and/or polymer chemistry.

·Familiarity or experience with polyurethane foam technology and additives.

Knowledgeable and considers the importance of processing, operating, and design factors that affect sun care formulations.

1-3 years of relevant laboratory experience is required. Formulation experience preferred.

Knowledgeable and willing to delve into emulsion theory, design, and processing.

Good communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, and computer skills

Previous experience in Sun Care/SPF formulation and OTC Products is desirable

One to three years of experience within relative industry laboratory is required.

Perform basic property testing including viscosity, water content, pH, refractive index, etc.
