Lead regular group meetings on topics such as anger management, job readiness skills and interpersonal communications;

Extensive knowledge and experience with implementing positive behavioral modification methods;

Supervise youth in their hygiene, chores, mealtime, recreation, and educational activities;

Experience providing crisis intervention counseling and resolving problems with at-risk youth;

High school diploma or G.E.D. and 1 year of related experience.

Respond to an array of inquiries from internal/external parties for the purpose of providing information, facilitating communication and/or providing direction.

Plan, organize, and schedule a variety of activities, meetings, and/or events.

Prepare files and records for entering and withdrawing students on a web-based system.

Prepare purchase orders and facilitate the purchase process.

Attend local and State meetings, training, and workshops for the purpose of professional growth, recording events, and conveying and/or receiving information.

PRINCE EDWARD COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOLS

Attend continuing education course geared towards trends and professional development in the field of Case Management Services.

Provides information to educate the public, other agencies, vendors and potential customers about case management services.

Knowledge and experience of risk reduction principles and assessments with the juvenile or adult population.

Support of the delivery of programs & case management services and substance abuse services in assigned facilities.

Demonstrates knowledge of appropriate usage of behavioral, cognitive restructuring and relapse prevention

One (1) year of experience in mental health/substance abuse treatment settings/juvenile justice/residential setting.

Ensures daily documentation is accurately completed each day. Creates and monitors efficient weekly staffing schedules.

Plans supervision of programs and services by recruiting, training, and supervising volunteers and staff and planning and evaluating programs and services.

Essential functions include but are not limited to:

One or more years direct case management experience working with offenders or families in social work setting.

Support of the delivery of all programs & case management services and substance abuse services (RYDCs only) in assigned facilities.

One or more years of experience working with juvenile offenders in detention facilities or other at-risk youths in group home programs.

Preference will be given to applicants who, in addition to meeting the minimum qualifications, possess the following:

Works with program staff to ensure that services are following best practices and departmental policy.

Conducts rounds daily on the living unit to ensure youth needs are identified and addressed.
