Demonstrates knowledge of domestic violence, child, and dependent and elder abuse protocols.

Secures and evaluates a patient's health history and records findings in a systematic, accurate and succinct manner.

Performs a physical assessment and is able to discriminate between normal and abnormal findings.

Provides routine physical examinations, diagnostic services and treatment of illnesses and emergencies.

Develops and implements patient management plans, records progress notes, and assists in provision of continuity of care.

Must be able to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.

Provides patient and family with pre-operative/pre-procedure and other pertinent education.

May be required to have experience and competency in performing specific tasks required by department.

The Physician Assistant will practice as part of a team under the direction of their supervising physician.

Primary Duties will be inclusive of the following but not limited to:

Graduate of a PA program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant, Inc.

Obtains complete histories and performs pertinent physical exams with assessment of normal and abnormal findings on new and return patients.

Performs or requests and evaluates diagnostic studies as indicated upon evaluation of the patient.

Provide support to the Call Center and Case Management teams regarding patient inquiries as needed.

Provide appropriate management for patients in need of reproductive related services, including fertility control, infertility, and sexually transmitted disease treatment.

Perform Quality Management audits if requested.

Adhere to Quality Management policies and procedures.

Adhere to Safety/Risk Management policies and procedures.

Women’s healthcare specialty or reproductive healthcare experience preferred.
