Overview A Deputy District Ranger is a mid-level position within the United States Forest Service. This position is responsible for assisting the District Ranger in the management of the district’s resources, personnel, and programs. The Deputy District Ranger is responsible for providing technical and administrative support to the District Ranger and other staff members. This includes providing advice and guidance on resource management, personnel management, and program implementation. The Deputy District Ranger is also responsible for developing and implementing plans for the district’s resources, personnel, and programs. Additionally, the Deputy District Ranger is responsible for overseeing the district’s budget and ensuring that all funds are used in accordance with the district’s goals and objectives.
