We are looking for candidates that demonstrate experience in the following knowledge, skills and abilities:

Exceptional leadership and management skills, including strategic planning, budgeting, and resource management.

Foster collaboration and coordination among public safety departments, including police, fire, emergency management, corrections, and other relevant agencies.

Oversee the city's emergency management efforts, including the development, implementation, and regular testing of emergency response plans.

Develop and manage the department's budget, ensuring responsible allocation of resources to support safety initiatives.

Promote safety education and outreach initiatives to raise awareness and empower residents to actively participate in creating safe communities.

Skill in curriculum resource development and the use of project management and process improvement tools to monitor progress toward goals.

Supervises the day-to-day operations of the Division of Early Childhood, including budgeting, resource allocation, and personnel management.

Leads and implements frameworks to support change management and process improvement across the Division in partnership with the Assistant Superintendent.

Manages Division of Early Childhood resource allocation in partnership with Assistant Superintendent and Director, Early Childhood Finance.

Knowledge and experience with early childhood content, and programs including imparting the importance of early learning programs.

Knowledge of standards, trends, regulations, policies, and effective instruction and assessment in Early Childhood Education Programs

Manage activities related to government and community relations.

Human Resources – Ensure compliance with organizational learning curricula, performance evaluations, and vaccination requirements.

Serve as a liaison between the Department Administrator, division and mission leaders, and corporate services as appropriate.

Ensure organizational alignment by effectively communicating and coordinating efforts across different divisions, missions, and corporate areas.

Collaborate with departmental leadership to establish and execute operational goals, objectives, and initiatives aligned with the department's mission and vision.

Develop and implement strategic plans, policies, and procedures to streamline operations and improve departmental efficiency.

Administrative support for the Educational Equity Team to schedule internal and external

Edit, proofread and polish the writing and layout of NIH and foundation grants written by Department faculty, to increase Department funding.

Wet lab experience in a biomedical research lab is required

Hiring, training, supervising, and evaluating all Department of Education staff.

Participation in grant proposal planning, preparation, tracking, and compliance with reporting requirements.
