Daycare Facility Maintenance And Repair Worker Jobs

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.):

Maintains cleanliness in the building and on the grounds

Helps with needed preventive maintenance

Helps to complete minor repairs

Provides assistance to other departments, as needed

Helps with set-up for events and exhibits

Performs spot roof repair and installs security devices, locks and window air conditioners.

Assists in painting and/or performs minor painting of fixtures, rooms, buildings, signs and equipment.

Patches plaster and prepares surfaces for painting.

Operates machine tools and welding equipment in making repairs to metal parts and equipment.

Assists in repair and maintenance of interior and exterior maintenance equipment and other specialized equipment (e.g., dental equipment, laboratory equipment).

Skills, Knowledge and/or Abilities Required:

Experience Required: Prior experience working with infants and toddlers in an early childhood education setting.

Counsel teen parents and student assistants to continue their education and encourages their attendance.

Assumes all other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Licenses, Certifications, Bonding, and/or Testing Required:

Responsible for the care and supervision of a designated group of infants or toddlers.

Knowledge, skills and ability required but are not limited to the following:

High School diploma. Experience supervising children is desirable.
