Cyber Governance Intern Jobs

Maintain knowledge of the cybersecurity capabilities of operating systems, networking devices, control systems, and vendor offerings.

Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles and general knowledge of cybersecurity technologies, as well as industry recognized certifications.

General knowledge of cybersecurity vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, and the tools/techniques involved in both.

Maintain a basic knowledge of current and emerging state-of-the-art computer and network systems technologies, architectures, and products.

Maintain a working knowledge of applicable cybersecurity standards involving control systems, including those relating to process networks.

5+ years direct experience with information security, IT controls assurance and IT audit facilitation

Experience in cloud-based environments for production applications, including Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, GCP or other large-scale cloud deployment

Coordinates statewide communications and management reporting on cyber privacy issues where Sentara Health operates (as of now 28 states);

Experience translating regulatory requirements (such as GDPR, CCPA/CPRA) into actionable technical specifications.

Reports on key performance indicators and metrics to track privacy weaknesses and vulnerabilities and to assess adherence to privacy policies;

Analyzes risks of Sentara Health’s privacy projects and capabilities, with a clear define Cyber Security focus;

Facilitates training, awareness, and communication of privacy matters, including compliance requirements, across all of Sentara Health, with a Cyber Security Focus/Eye.

Performs other related duties, as required by Sr. Manager, Cyber & Privacy Governance

Support teams and organizations in the development of strategies to execute on requirements.

Strong Communications Skills: This includes written (prose), PowerPoint and live presentation skills.

Support the departmental management activities for cybersecurity compliance.

Experience in successfully working remotely

Security Education Training and Awareness, SETA, promotion, delivery and reporting

Able to scope out projects and manage day to day processes of a program.

Support and manage cybersecurity compliance demands and engagements; support team prioritization.

Summarizes and reports cybersecurity compliance risks to the Cybersecurity Governance manager and or its working group overseeing compliance initiatives.

Customer service skills with related work experience

Demonstrated team player with strong communication skills

Effective verbal, written communication and presentation skills

Understanding of foundational security concepts or coding best practices

Understanding of identification and mitigation of cyber risk

Active college student seeking a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity or related field
