Counterparty Risk Analyst Jobs

Conduct due diligence visits to clients' premises to evaluate their risk management practices, operations, and infrastructure

8+ Years of Relevant Work Experience working in credit risk, governance, accounting, or finance

Prior experience with due diligence as it relates to hedge funds

Quantitative skills in credit risk, market risk, or trading

Approve new positions or make recommendations to higher authority levels within the credit department

Lead the negotiation of trading documentation, such as ISDA/CSA (International Swaps and Derivatives Association/Credit Support Annex), Prime Brokerage, and Repo Agreements

Articulate a convincing case in support of the risk opinion to Senior Management and Credit Committees

Minimum 3-5 years of previous credit experience that has preferably included the review of trading limits to financial institution counterparties.

Previous experience in a financial institution a plus

Proficiency in MS Office products including extensive knowledge of MS Excel.

Knowledge of internal credit systems.

Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities

Advanced MS Office Suite skills and experience, with an emphasis on Excel

2-4 years of counterparty experience analyzing financial institutions such as mortgage banks

Prior experience in assurance or advisory services for financial institutions

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, CFA Level 1 is a plus

Strong interpersonal communication skill with the ability to interact with team members, internal/external customers and senior leadership

Review and assess the credit strength of mortgage bank and develop action plan for risk mitigations

Strong organizational & time management skills

2-4 years of related professional work experience; experience in commercial real estate finance is a plus

Reviewing annual Seller/Servicer certifications to ensure continued eligibility

Manage Custodial Account documents/reporting for Seller/Servicers

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

Analyze and spread financial statements for bank and mortgage company clients

Identify risks, trends, and concerns and write comprehensive analysis

Represents the Counterparty Risk Management Team to internal and external clients and at industry forums.

Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. Graduate degree and/or certification such as CFA, FRM, PRMIA, or CQF preferred.

Minimum of ten years related work experience. Supervisory experience preferred.

3-5 years of experience in Market Risk, Credit, Trading or Trading middle office functions

Experience in designing, documenting, and implementing control frameworks for BAU tasks (SOPs)

Advising and providing technical oversight to management pertaining to multifamily housing programs.
