Corporate Legal Intern Jobs

Second or third-year law student. Media & Entertainment knowledge is a plus

Excellent legal research and writing skills

Must have knowledge of Lexis/Nexis computer research system

Must be able to handle complex and challenging assignments with short turnaround deadlines

Conduct legal research and analysis

Prepare memorandums and executive summaries of issues

Principal Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Must have knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the legal field.

Bachelors degree and at least one year of law school education.

Perform all work in compliance with company policy and within the guidelines of bioMérieux’s Quality System.

Performs various tasks assign by Supervisor to assist in their projects.

Complies with legal and company ethics policies.

The Intern should have related experience/background/course work/other indicia of interest in the fields of technology, media, entertainment, or similar industries

Prior law firm/judicial internship or related internship experience is a plus

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Experience in discreetly handling confidential information preferred

2L/3L law students are preferred

Ability to work independently and follow through on tasks until they are completed

Excellent research, writing, and communication skills.

Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.

Assist with drafting legal documents such as letters, memos, reports, etc.

Assist with administrative tasks such as organizing files, scheduling meetings, and answering phone calls.

Observe the contract process (intake, document preparation, negotiation) and redline legal documents and agreements.

Assist with client intake and follow-up communications.

Excellent communication skills and ability to work collegially with internal clients, outside counsel, and other members of the legal team;

Strong organizational skills and independent follow through on issues and tasks; and

These skills will help you succeed in this role:

Ability to handle multiple tasks and multiple priorities efficiently and with a high caliber of execution

Capable of producing high quality routine work with general supervision.
