Your Opportunity: Taylor Corporation is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Legal Intern to join our team. The Legal Intern will work under the supervision of our attorneys and provide support with legal research, drafting legal documents, and other administrative tasks as needed.
Your Responsibilities:
  • Assist with drafting legal documents such as letters, memos, reports, etc.
  • Create and assemble presentation materials.
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as organizing files, scheduling meetings, and answering phone calls.
  • Assist with client intake and follow-up communications.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on various topics related to our practice areas including: employment law, contracts, litigation management, real estate, bankruptcy and finance, business formation/corporate secretary, legal administration, product safety, risk management, and compliance.
  • Observe the contract process (intake, document preparation, negotiation) and redline legal documents and agreements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
You Must Have:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Desire to observe and participate in how a corporate law department functions and obtain exposure to working on corporate law matters, including contract law, tort law, and criminal law.
  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate technical school, college, or university, or recently graduated from an undergraduate technical school, college, or university.
  • Professional demeanor and strong work ethic.
  • Excellent research, writing, and communication skills.
