Contracted Grant Writer Jobs in Texas

Bachelor’s degree, (preferably Master’s Degree) in English, Communications, Non-Profit Management or related field

A combination of experience and education is necessary to qualify for the position:

Manage tasks and resources effectively and efficiently

High-level organizational skills as it relates to data compilation

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Knowledge of public, private and corporate funding resources and procedures

Compile, write, and edit grant applications exhibiting strong expository writing skills and a high-level command of grammar and spelling.

Work with the Finance department to gather information necessary to report to funders on current grant programs.

Manage the process of supplying progress reports when required by a grant-making organization that has funded a project or program.

Strong written communication skills; ability to write clear, structured, articulate, and persuasive proposals.

Knowledge of fundraising information sources.

Experience with proposal writing and institutional donors.
