Contract Senior Accountant Jobs in California

2+ years of experience preferred

Strong Excel skills including an understanding of complex formulas

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Prepare and post journal entries.

Assist with monthly sales/use tax reporting.

Prepare month end GL account reconciliations.

Basic knowledge of SQL and experience working with Snowflake, Looker or similar analytics tools is a big plus

Prepare journal entries related to customer activity on our core platforms, including custodial cash, custodial liabilities, trading revenue and related accruals.

Prepare reconciliations for custodial cash accounts, custodial liabilities and cash suspense/clearing accounts

Basic knowledge/understanding of payment systems and cash reconciliation at a large financial institution

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Experience working in Netsuite, FloQast and G-Suite

Experience with contract management systems or similar.

Serve as contract advisor with Trust management with respect to contracting and solicitation activities.

Solicit, award, and manage contracts through the contract lifecycle..

At least five (5) years of relevant experience with a wide variety of contract types; preparing, managing solicitations and negotiating contracts.

Advanced negotiation and interpersonal skills.

Strong customer service skills and ability to collaborate and work with others.

Coordinates with management and legal staff on legal issues associated with construction contracting and alternative project delivery

Principles and practices of training, oversight and management of personnel

General understanding of theories, principles, and practices of design management, construction management, quality assurance/quality control, and construction inspection

Federal and state requirements for conducting qualifications-based procurements, as detailed under the federal Brooks Act and in California Public Contract Code

Interpret and effectively use management information reports

Has thorough understanding of FTA requirements for procurement and contracts; ensures FTA-compliant contract documentation

8+ years of professional experience in accounting, finance, or financial reporting.

Ability to communicate effectively and professionally, both in writing and verbally, with management, vendors.

Prior experience with inter-company transactions, consolidations, and statement of cash flows preparation is required

Public accounting, SEC Reporting, NetSuite experience a plus

Strong organization and ownership skills

At least one year of contract drafting and negotiation experience
