Contract Bond Underwriter Trainee Jobs

Utilize project management integrated software (PMIS) program and PM tools (Bluebeam, MS project, etc.) for all assigned bond projects

Minimum of 7 years experience in furniture, fixtures and equipment planning in K-12 education facilities

Manage vendor relationships with service providers and manufactures.

Work with FBISD directors, managers, administration and campus staff to develop project scopes, deliverables and timelines for bond projects

Generate and manage project schedules for moves

Manage activation related paperwork by ensuring all necessary materials are current, properly filed and retained

High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience required

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required

Strong verbal and written communication skills required.

Strong math and reading skills required.

Previous workers’ compensation experience helpful.

Qualifications may warrant placement in a different job level.

Work with underwriters and brokers to ensure that all account requirements are properly handled.

Manage various mid-term client servicing issues including initial review of endorsement and cancellation requests.

Research and manage competitor intelligence.

Analyze the stock performance, business strategy, management team, corporate governance and financial statements of prospective insureds.

Work with Public D&O division management to craft terms and proposals to win business.

Involve other Allied World management, units or offices as necessary.

0-4 years underwriting experience (Public Directors & Officers experience is preferred).

Solid Writing and Communication Skills.

Excellent organizational skills, and ability to multitask.

Build expertise and knowledge to broaden and deepen coverage.

Experience producing high-quality journalism including breaking news and analytical features.

Experience covering US corporate bond markets is preferred.

Observe Underwriters execute management and maintenance of accounts.

Majoring in Agriculture, Business, Insurance, Risk Management or related field (required in LA, MS, SC)

Relevant combination of education and related business/insurance work experience may be substituted for Degree

Attend training sessions to further knowledge in field of insurance and underwriting.

Review and study underwriting manual, policy contracts and procedures to increase skillset in field.

Provide day-to-day support to the Risk Management Team.

4+ years insurance related experience

Secure, review, and track furnished subcontractor payment and performance bonds to ensure compliance with the subcontract agreement.

Support in ensuring proper risk transfer as it relates to subcontractor coverages, limits and endorsements.

Recommend any necessary improvements to the current administrative process regarding insurance.

Generate a weekly report for subcontractor payment and performance bonds.

Computer literate including use of Word, Excel and various project management tools.

Identifies and acts on opportunities to share knowledge with clients and customers.

Demonstrates forms and coverage knowledge and applies them to exposure.

Demonstrates a basic knowledge of the business issues and rate, growth and profit objectives.

Offers creative solutions that contribute to the achievement of business results.

Demonstrates basic knowledge of products and appetites.

0-2 years prior work experience in Financial Services, Risk Management or Insurance industry(s) preferable, including internships

Completed coursework toward a Risk Management, and Insurance Degree

Be knowledgeable of compliance regulations, underwriting documentation rules and guidelines, adheres to policies accordingly

Bachelors degree required (or equivalent work experience)
