Assist with the management of Fann’s online database of Muslim American creative projects

Work from home but you should generally keep West Coast day time hours Monday - Friday

Communicate with editorial and social media teams about trends, and help brainstorm ideas for in-depth articles and audience engagement

Write as many as 25 articles/posts a week (between 300-600 words each)

Copyedit and fact-check articles about Muslim American creatives and creative projects (including headlines, blurbs, external links/content)

Ensure correct tone, voice, clarity, flow and structure of content.

Proven experience with non-linear editing is a must. Experience editing with Grass Valley Stratus NLE system a plus.

Knowledge of FTP and posting video on the web.

The ability to manage time well to complete pre-production elements for all assignments within deadlines.

Desktop editing experience is a bonus.

Flexibility to work variable shifts including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays is a requirement.

The ideal candidate must be an expert using powerful images and compelling sound to tell a story.
