Construction Planner I Jobs in Virginia

Note: Part Time Regular employees DO NOT have retirement benefits through VRS.

Completion of Certified Planning Commissioners’ Program within 24 months of employment.

Participants of VRS are vested once 5 years of creditable service are earned.

All supplemental Insurance (Cancer, Short Term Disability, Hospital, Accident, etc.) is administered by Mark III.

Research and reviews plans, gathers necessary data and listing material requirements for project.

Strong organization skills with the ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks and/or to meet deadlines.

Strong verbal and written communication skills required.

Excellent interpersonal, communication and collaborative skills to work effectively with teams throughout organization

Experience in Construction planning to include CWS and permitting experience

Experience in telecommunications industry desired

Excellent time management skills and ability to balance priorities

Communicate effectively with project team and manager

Experience with AutoCAD, Sketchup Pro, and Adobe Photoshop

AICP certification (or certification track) preferred

LEED certification (or certification track) preferred

Exceptional writing, research, analysis, and communication skills
